Edward/Bella moments - 5/5
CGI/wolves - 2/5
Acting/performance - 5/5
Overall - 4/5
Best/most important moments in the movie, in my opinion, are bolded at the bottom.
What I loved:
Wardrobe for the movie was the best out of all the four.
The wedding was so cute. Kristen transformed Bella into the perfect bride. She played the role so well and as cheesy as it sounds, you could ~feel the love she and Edward shared.
The wedding dress was beautiful. The back of it was so pretty but the front could have been a little better.
The honeymoon scene was absolutely flawless. Stayed so true to the book and not one single moment seemed forced or awkward. E/B’s chemistry in this one was spot on. The house on Isle Esme was beautiful and it was just how I thought it would be in the book.
Sex scenes were perfect. I was expecting them to be sufficiently awkward but they were shot well and weren’t overly done.
What I didn’t love:
The CGI for the wolves was horrendous, unfortunately. It kind of ruined the movie for me. The wolves were in it a lot and I feel that they were just very poorly done.
The “flashback” scenes were severely lacking. I did not like the first flashback scene with Edward. It didn’t make much sense and it seemed to drag on for much longer than necessary. That scene could have been dropped and it wouldn’t have effected the movie at all. It was just very weird and awkward.
Some parts of the birth scene were also dragged on too long. It felt like Edward was giving Bella CPR for 150 years and the order of the moments didn’t seem right. It wasn’t clear either whether Bella was dead or alive (even though we all knew she lived).
Did not like any of the added scenes. Too wolf-y for my liking. The movie didn’t need any of that, they were definitely just fillers.
Favorite scenes/moments:
The wedding prep scene with Bella, Alice, Rosalie, Charlie, and Renee. Moment felt so real and it really did feel like they were preparing for a legitimate wedding. It all felt natural which is definitely something that’s hard to accomplish with such an unrealistic scenario.
Reception scene where friends and family went up to speak. So funny.
When Bella was walking down the aisle and she made eye contact with Edward. Such a beautiful moment which made me smile, I’m not gonna lie. Might have even cried, lol.
Bella’s “human moments” scene at the start of the honeymoon. It was funny, cute, suspenseful, etc.
Bella modeling the lingerie for Edward. Seriously the funniest part of the whole movie, omg. It was so cute foiakljsdf. I thought that it’d be tacky but it was actually quite adorable.
Edward trying to keep Bella distracted. So many cute RK moments.
Edward and Bella feeling her belly and speaking to Renesmee. The cutest scene of the entire movie. I don’t know really how to explain it, but believe me when I say it was the cutest thing in the entire world. Cute RK moments galore.
The birth scene with Edward’s desperation. When he called her “baby” I wanted to fucking kill myself right there. So heartbreaking, probably one of the most emotional scenes of the series.
Oh and the birth scene was fucking gross, I wanted to throw up. It was legitimately SCARY. The screams and blood oijkahsdiufo omg.
Bella’s transformation scene was so cool. You saw her physically change in front of your eyes. Her hair grew longer, she became paler, and then the movie closes with her eyes opening and they are red.
Would maybe see this movie again. Made me so excited for the next one. Not my favorite of the series, but probably my third. Hope you enjoyed my quick little review. It’s 4 am almost and I don’t know if it even made much sense.
